Tokyo Marathon 2023

The annual Tokyo Marathon is set for 5 March 2023 and is expected to host a full-size crowd of 37,500 participants. The event will take place in Japan’s capital, setting the stage for runners and spectators to view the city’s iconic buildings and streets.

● Race time: 9:10 AM

● Cut-Off Time: After 7 hours

● Race Eligibility: 19+ years on race day

Registration is closed.

Entry Fee Inclusions

● Race bib number

● Policing and event organization of infrastructures

● Public transport to the race start line

Tokyo Marathon 2023 Entry Fee

Transfer/Refunds/Deferral Policy

No transfer is possible after the submission of the entry. You can’t transfer your entry to another runner (if discovered you will be disqualified from the race.

The Tokyo Marathon 2023 doesn't offer refunds. But you can make a deferral to the Tokyo marathon 2024 or 2025. Deferrals are available only for reasons specified by the organizer.

Race Bib and Race Packet Collection

There will be three days of EXPO where participants should pick up their race packets. You will receive an assigned pick-up time to prevent capacity restrain. Kindly pick up your race bib and race packets at the allocated time. 

Tokyo Marathon 2023 Event Information

Cut-off Policy

The cut-off time is enforced systematically at various checkpoints to allow the smooth reopening of roads and traffic control. Runners that fail to meet the cut-off time will be urged to continue on the sidewalks at their convenience.

Runners that lag extensively behind may be urged to exit the course.

No finisher medals or rewards for runners that don’t meet the cut-off time. 

Prize money/ Awards

Only the top three fastest finishers for both male and female categories will receive the event’s prize money.
